Wealthy Affiliate, affiliate marketers training platform.

Running a search on Google for “affiliate marketing” will return about 50 million results;
if you refine a bit and look for “affiliate marketing training” it goes down to about 5 million,
it’s still a lot of pages to skim trough especially if you consider that half of them are full of scams.
If you’re reading this post you’ve started the search with a similar string and finally stumble upon Wealthy Affiliate;
and you are wondering:
  • Is Wealthy Affiliate a scam?
  • Does it work?
  • How does it work?
  • How is it different from others?
  • How much it cost?
and probably some more;
I will answer these questions for you and unveil few secrets about this platform.
Let’s start by saying the most important thing:
Wealthy Affiliate is not a Scam.
and let me add one more thing:
I’m not using it anymore, I’ve followed it for a couple of months and quit;
will tell you why in a second.

Why I’ve left Wealthy Affiliates

Here we go:

this is my updated comments about Wealthy Affiliate with my reasons to cancel my premium account:

First of all, it’s very expensive,

$49 per month are much more of what you should pay for hosting and training,

ohh the training,

probably the main reason that made me leave this platform,

it can be good when you start and you have no idea of internet marketing and how to create a website,

but to be honest,

you can get the same info and much better for free;

the lessons are bit boring and so are the videos,

for $49 you should have professional looking course, which you can find at a cheaper price (ever heard of Udemi?);

most of the lessons are outdated,

they are very old and don’t match anymore with the software they trying to explain (because those have been updated),

I mean, it’s Internet,

things change daily and people need to have the freshest info, can’t have lessons from 3 years ago;

truth is…
there are blogs much more complete and updated than Kyle’s lesson on Wealthy Affiliates;

The community

if you get involved too much with the community then you’re in for wasting a lot of time,

some people are knowledgeable but many don’t know what they’re talking about and can give wrong tips and directions;

I still think that is not a scam but is not for me;

It goes too slow,

if you’re a bit familiar using a computer and with internet,

you could complete their course in about a week ( except for writing your content, that it does take some time) vs the one month or so that they propose,

you can decide to go faster of course, which is what I did,

there are basically two courses on the platform,
one to build an Online Business in any niche and one to promote Wealthy Affiliate;

I went through them both and at the same time I’ve researched/studied in other places and please trust me
Wealthy Affiliates is not worth the money;

I transferred hosting and domain before closing the account so I didn’t have any kind of trouble but be aware that once that you close your account communication is tricky so do everything before just to stay on the safe side.

Let’s see what Wealthy Affiliate is not.

  • It’s not a scam, it’s a legit platform which is not going to try to steal you any money;
  • it’s not a “get-rich-quick schemes” kind of thing, they offer training and tools but you will have to work pretty hard on your side to succeed, the harder the better;
  • it’s not another social media, there is a great community behind but it’s all about helping and building each other business, not gossiping about;

WA is a place where anybody with any level of online experience can find the tools, training and help needed to start an online business.
